ABOUT Malta Montessori:

The Malta Montessori School’s curriculum is based upon the teachings and philosophy of education created by Dr. Maria Montessori. Dr. Montessori became the first woman physician in Italy in 1870. In her medical practice, her clinical observations led her to analyze how children learn, and she concluded that they build themselves from what they find in their environment. 110 years ago, she began to work with a group of sixty young children of working parents in the San Lorenzo district of Rome. It was there that she founded the first “Children’s House.” What ultimately became the Montessori method of education developed there, based upon Montessori’s scientific observations of these children’s almost effortless ability to absorb knowledge from their surroundings, as well as their tireless interest in manipulating materials. Every piece of equipment, every exercise, every method Montessori developed was based on what she observed children to do “naturally,” by themselves, unassisted by adults. Children in the Malta Montessori School will experience the same type of loving home environment that will help children become independent, self-motivated learners.

We strive to provide a beautiful, stimulating, caring and enriching learning environment where children will have every opportunity to learn to the best of their abilities.

We do not have any Open Houses at Malta Montessori as we want to give you personalized attention with a tour of our classrooms during school hours.  Coming during the school day will show parents how a Montessori classroom functions in a meaningful and peaceful way.  Call or email to schedule a tour which are held on weekdays at 9:30 AM.

Having my daughter be part of Malta Montessori has made such a positive impact on our lives. I am able to drop her off each day knowing she is safe and enjoying herself in a learning environment. Being independent and having good social skills are very important lessons for a child and I feel this school has helped give my daughter a good base for her future.

We are very excited to have found a nurturing school for our twin preschoolers. After just two months at Malta Montessori, my girls have started presenting some pretty amazing qualities. In addition to social, academic and cultural development, we love that they create an environment that promotes healthy eating behaviors. As parents striving to raise compassionate, respectful and independent preschoolers, we feel we’ve found the perfect team to partner with.

Malta Montessori offers the high quality education that every child needs and deserves. The teachers are on purpose with engaging the children to be autonomous, well-adjusted children that love to learn. The atmosphere at Malta Montessori provokes my son to learn about who he is and how to respect himself and others. I feel extremely fortunate that this education is available to my child so close to home.
